Course Co-Director, ACCESS ASC Summit
Director of Cardiac Electrophysiology, Mount Sinai Health System
Board Member, Heart Rhythm Advocates (HRA)

Dr. Vivek Y. Reddy is an internationally renowned cardiac electrophysiologist and one of the most influential innovators in the field of arrhythmia management and structural EP. As Director of Cardiac Electrophysiology for the Mount Sinai Health System in New York City, he leads one of the world’s most advanced programs in complex ablation, left atrial appendage closure, pulsed field ablation (PFA), and next-generation device therapy.

Dr. Reddy’s work has shaped nearly every major evolution in modern electrophysiology. He has served as global or national principal investigator for many of the landmark trials in AF ablation, ventricular arrhythmia therapy, and LAA closure—including trials that led to the approval and widespread adoption of the Watchman device, cryoballoon ablation, and first-in-human PFA systems. His leadership in clinical translation, device development, and procedural safety has guided global practice and informed multiple society guidelines.

A prolific researcher, Dr. Reddy has authored hundreds of peer-reviewed publications in NEJM, Circulation, JACC, Heart Rhythm, and The Lancet, and he continues to collaborate closely with industry, basic scientists, and regulatory agencies to bring cutting-edge technologies from concept to clinical reality. His work spans ablation energy systems, navigation technologies, minimally invasive LAA solutions, mapping systems, stroke prevention, and the neuro-cardiac interface.

National Leadership & Health Policy Impact

Dr. Reddy is a board member of Heart Rhythm Advocates (HRA), where he plays a key strategic role in shaping federal policy and reimbursement for electrophysiology. His expertise and data leadership were instrumental in articulating the clinical and economic rationale that helped secure CMS approval for AF ablation in Ambulatory Surgery Centers (ASCs)—a transformational milestone that expands access to care and elevates sustainability for EP practices nationwide.

His input, along with that of a small group of national thought leaders, helped unify the clinical community, generate robust evidence, and guide policy discussions at the highest levels of government.

Innovation, Education & Global Influence

Dr. Reddy is recognized for his ability to translate groundbreaking science into practical clinical tools. His leadership in first-in-human trials has accelerated global adoption of transformative EP technologies, including pulsed field ablation—expected to redefine procedural efficiency, safety, and long-term rhythm outcomes.

A gifted educator, he trains physicians worldwide and is a frequent keynote speaker at major cardiology conferences. His mentorship has shaped the careers of countless electrophysiologists and contributed to the explosion of innovation in the field over the past two decades.

A Visionary for the Future of Electrophysiology

At the ACCESS ASC Summit, Dr. Reddy brings a global perspective on how technology, policy, and new care models converge to reshape electrophysiology. His insight into emerging ablation platforms, regulatory trends, and ASC-based EP care offers attendees a forward-looking view of where the specialty is heading—and how clinicians can lead that transformation.

Dr. Reddy’s work has consistently pushed the boundaries of what is possible in arrhythmia treatment. His commitment to innovation, advocacy, and patient-centered progress continues to influence EP practice across the United States and around the world.
