Arash Aryana
MD, FHRS
Course Co-Director, ACCESS ASC Summit
Cardiologist and Electrophysiologist
Dr. Arash Aryana is a nationally recognized cardiac electrophysiologist and one of the foremost leaders shaping the future of arrhythmia care, procedural innovation, and outpatient EP delivery in the United States. A master clinician, prolific investigator, and respected educator, he has helped define modern electrophysiology across both clinical and policy landscapes.
Dr. Aryana has performed thousands of complex ablations, including persistent AF, hybrid and convergent approaches, VT ablation, and structural EP interventions. His work integrating advanced imaging, substrate mapping, and periprocedural optimization has been published extensively and has guided standards of care adopted nationwide. He has served as principal investigator and steering committee member for multicenter trials evaluating ablation strategies, cardiac imaging integration, and left atrial appendage management.
His educational background includes a medical degree from the University of Utah School of Medicine, residency training at the University of Utah, and fellowships in cardiovascular disease and clinical electrophysiology at Scripps Clinic and the University of Utah. He is triple board-certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Disease, and Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology.
Beyond the clinical arena, Dr. Aryana has made significant national contributions to health policy and reimbursement reform. As a board member of Heart Rhythm Advocates (HRA), he played a pivotal role in advancing the successful effort to secure CMS approval for catheter ablation procedures in Ambulatory Surgery Centers—a milestone that has reshaped the economic and operational landscape of EP. His advocacy, technical expertise, and data-driven guidance were instrumental in helping federal policymakers understand the safety, scalability, and value of performing complex arrhythmia interventions in the ASC setting.
A sought-after speaker and mentor, Dr. Aryana is recognized for his ability to translate complex electrophysiology into practical, system-level solutions for physicians, health systems, and industry innovators. He has trained fellows, proctored teams nationally and internationally, and continues to collaborate on next-generation EP technologies and workflow models.
As Course Co-Director of the ACCESS ASC Summit, Dr. Aryana brings unmatched insight into the convergence of clinical excellence, ASC operations, and national policy—helping to define a new era in which electrophysiologists can build sustainable, high-performance outpatient programs and reclaim long-term control of their practice environment.
